Project Scope

Many community websites grow over time as different volunteers add new pages, documents and information. The result is often a website that contains everything people need, but makes it difficult to find. That was the challenge with the Beer Village website.

Working closely with the Parish Council, I redesigned the site around the needs of two main audiences: visitors planning a trip to Beer and residents looking for local information. The new WordPress website includes a searchable business directory, clubs and associations directory, events calendar, parish document library and dedicated visitor guides, all organised within a much clearer structure.

The finished website is easier to navigate, simpler for volunteers to update and provides a better experience for both local residents and visitors discovering Beer for the first time.
